June 6, 2010: I did some reworking of the design. One of the projects at work gave me a good idea for a better design. WAY better design actually. The increase in visitors and visited pages support that this is not jut my opinion.
Around the same time I started working on a book about web design and HTML programming in Danish. The writing went relatively smooth, but it occurred to me to be rather futile making it as a book. The chances of actually reaching some of the people who need the info are slim to none, and it is not like there are any money in writing that kind of books, especially in Danish. So it became a sub site here instead (link). It isn't done yet, but there is sufficient for the pages to be usefull.
October 7, 2008: The last couple of day I've gotten the rest of the elements uploaded. It's only basic information for now, but I wanted to get all the elements uploaded so it is easier to work with.
May 5, 2008: More elements added: Boron, Barium, Berylium, Bismuth and Bromine
March 22, 2008: More polysaccharides added: Pectic acid and
Chitin.
March 10, 2008: More polysaccharides added: Guar gum, Karaya gum, Gum tragacanth, Xylan, and Arabinogalactan.
March 9, 2008: Just discovered something really annoying. The HTML command FONT does not work properly, so I've had to change the Greek letters and some of the other special characters to unicode format.
One more element added: Plutonium.
March 8, 2008: More elements: Californium, Berkelium, and Curium.
March 7, 2008: More elements: Krypton, Xenon, Radon, Radium, Einsteinium, Fermium, Mendelevium, Nobelium, Lawrencium, Rutherfordium, Dubnium, Seaborgium, Bohrium, Hassium, and Meitnerium.
March 6, 2008: More polymers: Locust Bean Gum/Carob Gum, Levan, Lichenan and Lentinan
March 5, 2008: In my work with WeirdSpace, I've learned a lot about web design. Especially css and java scripts and how to make my code a lot simpler and more sleek. I'm in the process of getting the things I've learned transferred to this site. I've also put in the tracking code for Google's analysis of visitors. It's not a top notch tool, as I can see it only registers around 50% of the visitors on WeirdSpace, but I've learned a lot from the info, so now I'm using it on this site too.
March 4, 2008: Added to site: Arabinan, Cellulose, and Curdlan
Okay, so I'm back with more pages at last. 2007 was a little hectic and something had to give.
November 14, 2006: Added to site: Arsenic, Astatine, and Gold
November 13, 2006: Calcium added
October 22, 2006: Next: zinc
October 3, 2006: Next two elements: cobalt and chromium
July 13, 2006: Next element: cerium
June 15, 2006: Okay, so the site is starting to get actual visitors. Not many, but I can see from the log-file that I have visitors seeking information on reactions. Anyway, next element: iron
May 25, 2006: Got a better idea about how the index page is going to look. It's still a long way from done, but it's way better than the first attempt.
May 24, 2006: A couple of noble gasses: helium, neon and argon.
May 16, 2006: Okay, next two elements aluminium and americum.
May 7, 2006: Okay, so far so good. The disclaimer, the About and the Site history pages are ready to launch, and so are the first two elements silver and actinum. Guess that's it. Let's get the sucker launched and see how it goes!
April 18, 2006: After working on and off with the site for more than a year, I'm actually at at point where things look a little like a site. The main page is still crap, but at least it is functional. Writing chemistry in HTML is a royal pain. I never thought too much about how much subscript and supscript and special characters we actually use in science until I tried writing a reaction. My deepest respect for those people who have been doing it before me.
